About us. John (Jack) M. Shank was a Mechanical Engineering graduate of Ohio State University and an Air Force Officer during World War II.  He went on to work for A.O. Smith Company, Honeywell, and Donaldson in various sales and engineering positions prior founding Shank Power Products in 1955. By 1976 Shank Power Products expanded to its current five-man sales force.  Jack’s expectations for excellence in sales and engineering abilities combined with strong ethics and professionalism remains an integral part of the organization.  Shank Power Products is staffed with talented sales engineers having backgrounds in the power transmission, agricultural, industrial, and construction machinery industries. Our work experience ranges from design engineering and technical sales to engineering management positions.  Shank Power Products adds value by assisting our customers in solving design and application challenges. The companies we represent supply high quality, engineered components to the O.E.M. on/off-highway mobile equipment, industrial, and power generation markets.  For over 50 years Shank Power Products has provided the Upper Midwest with professional product and application assistance.
